Now in beta on iPhone and Android
See where your eating is taking you.
GrubLog turns what you eat into a forecast of where you’ll be in three months. As you log, it learns how your body actually responds, so the picture gets sharper every week.
Free during the beta. Each guide takes a few minutes and ends inside the app.
Progress
WeightWeighed in 20 of 24 days, enough for a solid trend. Daily swings are mostly water.
Understand your intake
Patterns you’d never spot in a food diary.
Insights read your last two weeks and tell you what’s actually driving your progress. Which days push you over. Whether protein keeps up. Whether a missing meal is making your forecast look better than it is.
- Plain language, real numbers. Every insight says what it’s based on.
- Information, not verdicts. No red numbers, no “over your limit,” no streak flames.
- Never photos or notes. Insights use your daily totals and the foods you log most, and nothing is stored.
Insights
You averaged 2,210 kcal over 12 logged days, about 130 over your target. Weekdays were close to it; weekends are where it adds up.
Weekdays are on target, weekends run about 600 over
Monday to Friday averaged 2,040 kcal. Saturday and Sunday averaged 2,650. That gap is most of why your two-week average sits above target.
Dinner is missing on 8 of the 12 days you logged
If you ate dinner and it isn’t here, your real intake is higher than 2,210 and the forecast is too hopeful. If you skip it on purpose, ignore this.
Remind me to log dinner at 7:00 pmProtein is running low: 104 g a day against 186 g
That’s about 0.5 g per lb of your weight. While you’re eating less, too little protein can mean losing muscle along with fat, and that can slow your progress.
Learns your metabolism
Find out what you really burn.
Every calculator gives you a guess. GrubLog starts with the standard formula, then compares what you eat with how your weight actually moves. After a few weeks, it knows your real maintenance calories, not an average person’s.
Each week you get a summary of how it went. When your numbers drift, it shows you and lets you decide whether to update your targets.
An example: about 280 kcal a day the formula would have missed.
How the AI works
AI that does the tedious parts, and shows its work.
There’s no chatbot inside the app: the AI does the logging and the insights, so they have good data to work with. Want to talk? Connect the AI you already use.
Photos and plain words become food entries
Snap your plate or type “2 tacos al pastor and a horchata.”
A question only when it matters
“Cooked in oil?” is a single tap, and it narrows the estimate.
Honest about guesses
Estimates carry a tilde and a range. Your targets come from proven formulas, not AI.
For foods you eat often, recents, saved meals and barcode scanning make logging a tap or two.
Connect an AI
Talk to your logs in Claude or ChatGPT.
Paste one address into the AI you already use, sign in, and ask in your own words. GrubLog is a connector, so your data stays yours and the AI stays the one you chose.
- “Which days did I go over this month, and what pushed me over?”
- “Log 2 scrambled eggs and a coffee for breakfast.”
- “Is my weight loss on pace? What would you change first?”
- “I have 600 calories left. What could dinner be, from things I usually eat?”
Real numbers, not guesses
The AI reads your actual logs, weigh-ins and targets through GrubLog’s connector, so its answers add up.
You decide what it may do
Read only, or read and write. Everything it logs shows up in the app with an Undo, and you can disconnect it any time.
Your plan stays safe
It can’t set targets below the calorie floor or faster than a safe pace. GrubLog refuses and says why.
What’s next
Planned after the first release.
None of these are ready yet. Beta testers will help decide what comes first.
Health Connect and Apple Health
Bring in weight, steps and workouts from the apps you already use.
Your data is yours, and never sold.
The insights only work because you trust GrubLog with what you eat and weigh. We treat that accordingly.
No ads, no trackers
We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising. There are no ad networks in the app.
Back up, or stay local
Your logs are backed up to your account so a lost phone isn’t a lost history. Prefer to keep everything on your phone? Turn backup off in Settings. Meal photos always stay on your phone.
Leave whenever you want
Export your history as a file, delete your backup, or delete your account, all from inside the app.
Help shape GrubLog.
The beta runs on iPhone through TestFlight and on Android as a direct download. Testers get the app before anyone else, and your feedback decides what gets fixed and built next.
Rather be told when it hits the stores? Leave your email and that is the only thing we will send.
Questions
When can I get it?
A beta opens first on iPhone through TestFlight and on Android through Google Play. The public release follows on the App Store and Google Play. Join the list and we’ll email you at each step.
Will it be free?
Tracking, targets and the forecast will be free. Pricing for the AI features isn’t final yet. There will be no ads either way.
How does the forecast work?
It starts from your targets and a standard formula, then adjusts to your real logs and weigh-ins. It’s shown as a range, and the range narrows as GrubLog learns more about you. Expect it to settle after two or three weeks.
How accurate are photo estimates?
Useful, not exact. Every photo estimate is labelled, shows a likely range, and can be edited before you save it. The forecast also corrects for logging that runs consistently high or low, because it learns from your weight.
Does it work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. GrubLog is an MCP connector: paste its address into Claude or ChatGPT, sign in with your GrubLog account, and the AI can read your logs and, if you allow it, log and change things for you. See the connect page for the steps. También funciona con Claude y ChatGPT.
Is GrubLog in Spanish?
Yes. It will launch in English and Mexican Spanish. También estará en español.
Is this medical advice?
No. GrubLog gives estimates. If you’re pregnant, under 18, or managing a health condition, talk to a professional before changing how you eat.
